The Nigerian Society of Engineers
BRIEF HISTORY OF THE NIGERIAN SOCIETY OF ENGINEERS LAGOS BRANCH
The Nigerian Society of Engineers was established in 1958 to provide a central organization for Engineers in Nigeria, to engage in activities that could be necessary to maintain a strict standard of professional ethics amongst its members, and to advance the interest of the engineering profession in Nigeria. In the discharge of its functions, the society is expected to collaborate with industry, commerce and academia and other such national bodies as may be necessary and to present to the government of Nigeria, the views of the Society on subjects of concern or interest of Engineers in Nigeria. The Society has tremendous progress since its establishment. The Lagos branch is one of the most pronounced and successful of all in Society’s branches. It is the pleasure of the current executives to describe that success and more importantly consolidate it….
